On November 17, 2024, ICARE alumni in Beijing gathered to celebrate the establishment of their local alumni association and to attend their first reunion in the city. Vice Dean Dr. Zou Mingqing and faculty members travelled specially to Beijing to join the event, engaging in heartfelt conversations with alumni from diverse sectors about their fond memories of ICARE and discussing prospects.

Vice Dean Dr. Zou Mingqing emphasized that the establishment of the Beijing Alumni Association of ICARE signifies a strong sense of unity and shared growth among alumni, marking a significant milestone in the institute’s development. He highlighted ICARE’s commitment to cultivating top-tier energy professionals with international competitiveness and innovative capabilities, contributing to the nation’s energy sector and sustainable development. Dr. Zou encouraged the alumni to uphold the ICARE spirit, take on responsibilities with courage, embrace innovation, and contribute their expertise to the nation’s energy sector and the continued progress of their alma mater.

Addressing ICARE alumni who have entered the workforce, Dr. Zou conveyed deep care and high expectations from HUST. He urged them to maintain a passion for learning, continuously enhance their professional skills and holistic abilities, and strive to become leaders in their respective fields. He also expressed hope that alumni would actively support their alma mater by providing strategic guidance and contributing to ICARE’s future growth. During the event, Dr. Zou presented appointment letters to the alumni elected as President and Vice President of the Beijing Alumni Association of ICARE.
