Recently, Professor Fabrizio Dughiero, Dean of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padova, Italy, together with Mr. Zuo Jinbao, Consultant for Engaging High-Level Chinese Universities of the Department of Industrial Engineering, paid a visit to ICARE to promote cooperation in teaching, scientific research, and industry-university collaboration.

Professor Luo Xiaobing, Chinese Dean of ICARE, Vice Dean Dr. Zou Mingqing, Professor Hu Song, Director of the Research Center, Ms. Liu Yang, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and other faculty members warmly welcomed the guests.

During the visit, the two sides held several meetings and systematically reviewed the achievements made in recent years in teaching cooperation, scientific research, and bilateral exchanges of teachers and students. They reached a number of agreements on key cooperation directions for the next stage, including the organization of international summer schools, curriculum teaching tasks for the autumn semester of 2026, and the promotion of the double master’s program. Professor Fabrizio also exchanged views with Professor Li Aijun, an ICARE Chinese supervisor, on topics such as radio-frequency separation heating technology and aerobic pyrolysis.

During a visit to Xiaomi Smart Appliances (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., one of ICARE’s industry partners, Professor Fabrizio’s delegation introduced microwave and radio-frequency heating technologies used in solid-state microwave ovens, as well as intelligent temperature-control technologies based on cookware characteristics through product demonstrations.

This exchange further strengthened the cooperative relationship between the two institutions and laid a solid foundation for future collaboration in talent cultivation, scientific research, and the integration of industry and education.
