At 4:00 p.m. on April 21, 2026, the third lecture of the job-hunting skills training series, themed “Image and Etiquette in Job Hunting,” was successfully held on the first floor of the Zisong Activity Center. The event was jointly organized by the Career Guidance and Service Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy. Luo Wei, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Humanities, Senior Psychological Counselor, and TTT2 University Career Instructor, was invited as the keynote speaker to provide professional and systematic guidance on job-hunting image and etiquette.

Based on the current employment situation, Luo Wei delivered a comprehensive explanation of job-hunting image and etiquette from four aspects: personal image etiquette, behavioral etiquette, interview etiquette, and communication etiquette.

Regarding personal image etiquette, she combined real job-hunting scenarios with practical advice on dress codes and overall image building for both male and female job seekers. She emphasized that neatness, elegance, and appropriateness should be regarded as the fundamental principles of professional appearance. It is important to align one’s professional image with job requirements in order to fully demonstrate professional competence and career attitude.
In terms of behavioral etiquette, she focused on standardized manners, including standing posture, sitting posture, walking posture, and other details. She pointed out that proper behavioral etiquette reflects personal accomplishment and helps candidates build confidence and project a positive mental outlook during job hunting.
Regarding interview etiquette, she explained the key procedures throughout the interview process, including preparation, greetings, self-introduction, responses to questions, and concluding remarks. Her explanations enabled students to better understand standard interview procedures and improve their professionalism during interviews.
In terms of communication etiquette, she analyzed communication norms and precautions in both online and offline recruitment contexts. She emphasized the importance of using appropriate and clear language with sincere attitudes to improve communication efficiency and professional image.

During the session, Ms. Luo actively interacted with students through scenario simulations and Q&A activities, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. Students participated enthusiastically in discussions and raised questions actively, resulting in a strong learning environment.

With its clear theme, rich content, and strong practical orientation, the training effectively enhanced students’ understanding and practical skills related to job-hunting etiquette, laying a solid foundation for improving their employability and career competitiveness.
In the future, ICARE will continue optimizing career guidance services to support students in achieving fuller and higher-quality employment.
