To fully implement China’s dual carbon goals, further expand university-enterprise cooperation channels, improve the university-enterprise linkage mechanism, promote the in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, and boost high-quality employment for students, Dr. Zou Mingqing, Vice Dean, and Prof. Hu Song, Director of the Research Center of ICARE, led a delegation of 10 faculty and student representatives to Shenzhen from May 19th to 21st 2026. The delegation visited China General Nuclear Power Energy International Holdings Co., Ltd, Huawei Digital Energy (Antuoshan Base), Smoore International Holdings Limited and Shenzhen Hello Tech, where they conducted on-site tours, panel discussions and cooperation negotiations.
On May 19, the delegation visited the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Base of China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN). They gained a comprehensive understanding of the Group’s development history and its "6+1" industrial system, and learned about the operation of nuclear power plants through immersive experiences at the CGN Nuclear Science and Technology Museum.
In the afternoon, the two sides held discussions on university-enterprise talent cultivation, the construction of student internship bases, the joint application and research of scientific projects, and the sharing of education and training resources. Preliminary intentions were reached on scientific research cooperation, internships, joint talent training and recruitment, and a strategic cooperation agreement was signed.

On May 20, the delegation visited the headquarters campus and product exhibition center of Smoore International, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company’s development history, global layout and core technological research priorities. During the seminar, Dr. Zou Mingqing and enterprise representatives held in-depth discussions on improving students’ practical abilities and employability. Both sides expressed their willingness to develop closer cooperation in talent training, scientific research and internship programs in the future.

Later, the delegation paid an in-depth visit to Huawei Digital Energy (Antuoshan Base). At the Edison Exhibition Hall, the enterprise presented its practical applications in core areas including clean power generation, electric transportation and green ICT infrastructure, and expressed a strong desire to further cooperate with ICARE in talent recruitment. Students actively raised questions regarding recruitment requirements and career development.

On May 21, the group visited Shenzhen Hello Tech. They learned about the company’s cutting-edge technological achievements and global market layout in outdoor solar-storage power supplies, residential energy storage systems and grid-connected power solutions. The delegation also toured its core R&D laboratories, observing the entire product development and testing process, as well as the intelligent R&D and quality control systems. Both sides held in-depth discussions on internship arrangements, research collaboration and customized talent training programs, and reached a preliminary consensus on establishing a regular communication mechanism going forward.
The “Enterprise Cooperation and Job Expansion” initiative closely aligns with the development needs of the new energy industry and has achieved tangible progress in university-enterprise cooperation. Building on this visit, ICARE will further advance comprehensive collaboration with leading industry enterprises, expand employment channels, and strengthen the alignment between talent cultivation and industrial demands. This will help graduates secure high-quality jobs and support the nation’s pursuit of the dual carbon goals and green low-carbon development.
