At 10:00 a.m. on May 15, 2026, the fourth session of the job-hunting skills training, focusing on official document writing, was held in Room N309 of the Clean Energy Building. Co-organized by the Career Guidance and Service Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and the China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy(ICARE), the seminar invited Vice Dean Dr. Zou Mingqing from ICARE as the keynote speaker.
With rich professional and administrative experience, Dr. Zou delivered a systematic and comprehensive lecture on official document writing during the seminar. His presentation covered the definition, significance, and common classification of official documents. He focused on explaining the applicable scenarios and standard formats of frequently used official documents, including notices, requests for instructions, reports, and meeting minutes. Drawing on authentic practical cases, he provided targeted guidance and solutions to common problems that frequently occur in official document writing. Furthermore, he repeatedly emphasized that official document writing must adhere to the principles of accuracy, conciseness, solemnity and standardization.

In the interactive session, postgraduate students had in-depth exchanges with Dr. Zou regarding difficulties related to job hunting and workplace official document writing. He answered every question raised by the students in a patient and detailed manner. Many students remarked that the training was informative and practical, effectively addressing their shortcomings in official document writing and laying a solid foundation for their future job hunting and career development.
As an essential part of the Job Hunting Training Camp, this training aims to enhance postgraduates’ comprehensive employability. In the future, ICARE will continue to launch a variety of practical training activities based on this platform to help postgraduates steadily improve their core competitiveness in job hunting.
