Graduation Season - ICARE Holds 2026 “Youth Never Fades” Graduation Ceremony

Three years of youthful campus life have gently come to a close. A brand-new journey now lies ahead. As another graduation season arrives, we look back on our vibrant youth and gather strength to embrace the future. To extend sincere wishes to all graduates of the Class of 2026, the China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy (ICARE) hosted a graduation ceremony themed “Youth Never Fades”.

The ceremony took place in Room N102 of the Clean Energy Building on June 9, 2026. Present at the event were Dr. Zou Mingqing, Vice Dean of ICARE; Mr. Sun Lu, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Energy and Power Engineering; European professors of ICARE including Enrico Pandeli, Edward Bentley and Ghanim Putrus; as well as all ICARE faculty members.

At the opening of the ceremony, Dr. Zou Mingqing extended warm congratulations to all graduates on their successful completion of studies. He shared his heartfelt expectations, encouraging them to remain well-organized, trustworthy and responsible throughout life. He also urged everyone to always stay passionate about knowledge, curious about technology and committed to their ideals. Noting that the institute would always remain their solid support and warm home, he invited the graduates to come back often.

Delivering a speech as the representative of European professors, Enrico Pandeli looked back on his years of teaching at ICARE and the precious moments shared with students in class. He remarked, “I never imagined that this institute would become such an important part of my life. These are truly cherished memories for me.” In closing, he sincerely wished all graduates a bright and successful journey ahead.

The student counselor Ms. Zhao Yiting congratulated the graduates on completing their studies and embarking on a new journey. Drawing on her work experience, she advised them to find their footing, adapt quickly to the workplace, keep learning throughout life, and steadily improve their professional competence. She also encouraged them to strive for career success while serving others, and to align their personal growth with the development needs of the motherland.

Mr. Long Hai, representative of the graduates, shared his reflections on campus life. He recalled the days of studying hard alongside his peers, describing these unique experiences as memories shared by all ICARE students. He concluded by expressing gratitude and reluctance to part with teachers and fellow students, as well as sincere thanks and best wishes to the institute.

Michel Farine, European Dean of ICARE, extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 2026. He noted that during their studies at ICARE, the graduates had acquired comprehensive and distinctive expertise and developed a global vision. Graduation is not an end. As pioneers in clean energy, they should continue updating their knowledge and uphold the spirit of lifelong learning in an ever-changing world.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Zou Mingqing presented graduation gifts to all graduates.
