On the afternoon of July 1, Mr. Fan Jianqiang, Chairman, and Mr. Liang Yongping, General Manager of Hubei Radiatech Thermal System Co., Ltd., led a delegation to visit ICARE. The meeting was attended by Professor Luo Xiaobing, Chinese Dean of ICARE; Professor Fabrizio Dughiero, Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padova (our partner university); Mr. Zuo Jinbao, Consultant for Engaging High-Level Chinese Universities of Department of Industrial Engineering; and faculty members from relevant departments of ICARE. Both sides held in-depth discussions on scientific research cooperation, joint talent training and the development of internship and practical-training bases.
Professor Fabrizio Dughiero introduced the research focus of his team. The team has established partnerships with a wide range of enterprises in thermal-system management, conducting product development and testing for real-world application scenarios including home appliances, automobiles and industrial equipment.
Subsequently, representatives from Hubei Radiatech Thermal System Co., Ltd briefly presented the company’s current key R&D priorities. They highlighted the company’s practical thermal-management and thermal-regulation solutions for automotive engines, vehicle batteries and in-cabin temperature control, which aim to enhance passenger comfort while reducing energy consumption. Mr. Fan Jianqiang noted that Radiatech has solid practical experience in automotive interior temperature monitoring and regulation. Moving forward, the company plans to apply its research capabilities to liquid cooling for AI data centers, energy storage, and heat dissipation for robot joints.
Professor Luo stated that ICARE will build an international industry-university-research cooperation platform. Drawing on its strong academic and research capabilities, the institute will link domestic and overseas enterprises with universities to foster partnerships, expand the scope of trilateral collaboration, and lay a solid foundation for future collaborative technological innovation and joint research. He hoped that all parties would maintain active communication and pursue multi-party cooperation moving forward.
At the close of the meeting, ICARE signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Cooperation with Hubei Radiatech. Moving ahead, both sides will work together in new-energy and international business areas. By fully integrating complementary resources and strengthening university-enterprise collaboration, they will promote the in-depth integration of education, talent and industrial chains, build a platform for the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and open a new chapter in their partnership.
