On the morning of September 25, a friendly basketball match was held on the court at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology Natatorium. George CARALIS, a European faculty member at ICARE, brought faculty members and students together to enjoy the sport. More than ten people took part, including postgraduate students from the first, second and third years.

Before the match, faculty members and students arrived early to warm up. They exchanged high-fives, encouraged one another and chatted, creating a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The referee’s whistle marked the start of the game. Both teams played enthusiastically, moving quickly across the court and competing for possession and rebounds. Through coordinated teamwork, they exchanged passes and made impressive shots. In keeping with the friendly spirit of the event, the emphasis was on participation and enjoyment. The match gave everyone an opportunity to be active, have fun and demonstrate the enthusiasm of ICARE’s students.

 

At the end of the event, participants gathered for a group photograph on the natatorium basketball court to commemorate the occasion. The activity strengthened connections among faculty members, students and alumni, while reflecting ICARE’s open, inclusive and dynamic campus culture.
