COURSE TITLE: Fundamentals of Geothermal Energy

Introduction to the Course: /课程介绍:

Part 1: This Course provides an introduction about characteristics and types of geothermal systems, properties of geothermal fluids and the host rocks, aims of geothermal projects, introduction to geothermal exploration (with geological, geochemical, hydrogeological and geophysical methods), to drilling of geothermal wells and well logging and testing,

Part 2: This part of the Course provides an introduction to environmental impacts of the geothermal resource and its exploitation through High and middle-enthalpy Power plants, EGS and UGS projects, Low-enthalpy applications and heat pumps,.

Course Aims/课程目标:

The aims of this Course are to:

·         Study of geothermal resources

·         Develop a geothermal project

·         Develop the knowledge of the geothermal exploration and exploitation of the resources
